CineTechGear Launches first line of lights.

What started as a weekend project and eventually evolved into a bit of an obsession, I somehow started to make my own lights.  As more and more people saw me using the lights, and as I showed them to friends, people started to express an interest in them.  So decided to start making them for other people. There’s a big gap between making something for your own application, and for commercial sales.  A lot more refinement, and robustness has to be built into the designs. I have gone through dozens of iterations, and have developed lots of add-ons.  I also looked to see what else was already on the market, and I think I have something that is not only unique in a lot of ways, but is also extremely versatile. I have several other lights in various stages of development, which I will we will be releasing in the near future.  The first lights are called MiniCine Lights, under the branding of CineTechGear, and available to pre-order at CineTechGear.com.  I’m looking at the sale of the lights as kind of kind of bespoke light kits.  I’ve developed so many accessories and variants, that people can build kits based on what features they will actually use.

The MiniCine Lights are small 6.5W LED lights which I use for a number of applications I have six of them on the grid behind me when i am filming, as separation/hair/rim lights, so that when I move from the desk set to the open space set, I don’t have to adjust rim lights. I also use one as an eye light, one to light a framed background picture, one to light my Sonex sound foam background wall, and one to light my desk from above, and one as an eye light. I use one as a bench light, one as a cool desklamp, one on each of my 3D printers and one as a tabletop gaming light. I also use one with the lantern add-on for lighting up my tent when camping, and I carry around a kit of four of them for mobile applications of interior car lights, or as a camera light.

So, I love them. I like how they look, how functional they are, how small they are, and how they are dimmable and can run off of AC or DC.
